I had spent a good portion of last semester painting in acrylics, which I had learned to enjoy very much, so I decided to give digital painting a try. I had a lot of fun with this one and it's defiantly something I plan on experimenting with more over the summer in addition to painting traditionally.
Also, to get reference for this illustration, I had my brother dress up in my Darth Vader costume while I took pictures. He was very salty about it.

ReplyDeleteI agree with Billy. At first glance it looks exactly like your acrylic work. This has a lot of energy in its strokes like your work normally does. Also really nice subtlety in the colors. Good work!
